Rwanda Premier League champions APR FC have bolstered their attacking line-up ahead of the new season with the signing of Ivorian striker William Togui.
The 28-year-old forward recently arrived in Kigali and has officially joined the military side.
While the club confirmed his acquisition, the length and terms of the contract remain undisclosed.
APR FC has been active in the transfer market, and the addition of Togui is seen as a key move to enhance their firepower up front.
Known for his physicality and eye for goal, the Ivorian brings with him a wealth of experience from various leagues across Europe and Africa.
Togui previously played for Ankara Keçiörengücü in the Turkish Second Division and has earned five caps for the Ivory Coast national team.
One of the highlights of his career came during the 2017/18 season with SC Gagnoa in Côte d’Ivoire, where he had an outstanding campaign, scoring 23 goals.
Following his breakout season, he secured a loan move to K.V. Mechelen in Belgium’s First Division, where he had a brief stint before moving to Turkish side Beykoz Anadolu Spor.
The striker had been without a club since July 2024, making this new deal with APR FC a timely opportunity to revive his career and prove his worth in East African football.
With APR aiming to defend their domestic crown and make an impact on the continental stage, the arrival of Togui could be a game-changer in their upcoming campaign.
