21 Teams with Regional's to grace the Genocide Memorial Tourney

Two teams from Uganda and one from South Sudan, are among the 21 Teams to participate in the 11th Edition of the Genocide Memorial Rugby 7s Tournament.
This Genocide Memorial Rugby 7s Tournament, an international competition organized by the Rwanda Rugby Federation (RRF) in remembrance of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi for the 31st commemoration.
The tournament is scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2025, and will take place at Amahoro Stadium, starting at 9:00 AM.
This will be the first time renovated Amahoro Stadium host Rugby Tourney.
Held for the 11th edition, 21 teams to participate—14 men's teams and 7 women's teams.

In last year’s 10th edition, 16 teams took part—10 men’s teams and 6 women’s teams.
In Men’s category, Rams RFC won the trophy by defeating Lions de Fer 24-07, while Resilience RFC took third place by beating Kigali Sharks 19-00.
For Women’s, Kamonyi Panthers Women RFC clinch the title after defeating Ruhango Zebras, while Burera Tigers RFC took third place, beating Kigezi Queens RFC 05-00.
The Genocide Memorial Rugby 7s Tournament is organized by the Rwanda Rugby Federation (RRF), in partnership with the Rwanda National Olympic and Sports Committee (RNOSC), to honor the memory of the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi—especially athletes who lost their lives.
