Rwandan duo headline Azerbaijan Cup final clash

Rwandan football will take center stage in the upcoming Azerbaijan Cup final, as three national team players prepare to battle for silverware in what promises to be a captivating showdown on May 13, 2026.

Defender Ange Jimmy Mutsinzi and forward Leroy Mickels played key roles in guiding Zira FK to the final. 

The duo helped their side secure a composed 2–0 aggregate victory over Turan Tovuz, showcasing discipline and tactical maturity across both legs.

Awaiting them in the final is another familiar face—compatriot Mickaël Malsa Mickels, who featured prominently as Sabah FK edged past reigning giants Qarabağ FK in a thrilling 4–3 aggregate semifinal triumph.
