Rayon Sports and Bruno Ferry part ways by mutual agreement

Rayon Sports have officially parted ways with head coach Bruno Ferry following a mutual agreement between both parties, bringing an early end to his short and difficult spell at the club.

The French tactician had only recently been appointed in December 2025, arriving with expectations of restoring stability and competitiveness at one of Rwanda’s most successful football teams.

Ferry’s appointment came during a period of transition at Rayon Sports, with the club undergoing leadership changes and a major squad overhaul that saw more than a dozen new players join.

However, despite the initial optimism surrounding his arrival, results on the pitch quickly became a concern.

In his brief tenure, the team struggled to find consistency, managing just one win, alongside two draws and two defeats in his first five matches in charge.

Defensively, the team looked vulnerable, conceding a high number of goals, while offensively they failed to convert chances consistently.

These performances led to growing frustration among supporters, many of whom openly questioned the team’s direction and the coach’s tactical decisions.

Beyond results, Ferry’s spell was also marked by instability within the squad.

Frequent changes, including player departures and adjustments in the technical team, disrupted cohesion and made it difficult for the side to build momentum. 

Critics argued that the integration of numerous new signings affected team chemistry, while others pointed to broader structural issues within the club.

Ultimately, both the club and the coach agreed to part ways in what has been described as a mutual decision, signaling a fresh start for Rayon Sports as they look to revive their season.

Ferry’s exit highlights the challenges the club continues to face in balancing expectations, performance, and long-term planning.
