Al Nassr FC secured a historic Saudi Pro League title after a dominant 4-1 victory over Damac FC at Al-Awwal Park, with Cristiano Ronaldo.

The victory confirmed Al Nassr’s first Saudi Pro League championship since the 2018-19 season and marked Ronaldo’s first league title since joining the club in late 2022.

Goals from Sadio Mané, Kingsley Coman and a brilliant second-half brace from Ronaldo sealed the triumph in front of jubilant home supporters.

Al Nassr entered the final matchday knowing that victory would guarantee the league crown regardless of results elsewhere.

Despite dominating possession early in the game, the hosts initially struggled to break through a resilient Damac defence.

Ronaldo, João Félix and Abdullah Al Khaibari all threatened before the breakthrough finally arrived in the 34th minute.

João Félix delivered an excellent corner into the penalty area where Mané rose superbly to head home the opening goal.

The Senegalese forward’s strike rewarded Al Nassr’s attacking pressure and lifted the atmosphere inside Al-Awwal Park.

The Riyadh giant continued to control the match after halftime and doubled their advantage seven minutes into the second half.

Coman combined neatly with Al Khaibari before curling a low effort into the bottom corner from outside the box.

Damac briefly threatened to make the contest interesting after Morlaye Sylla converted a penalty in the 58th minute following a VAR review for handball against Mohamed Simakan.

Ronaldo quickly restored Al Nassr’s comfortable advantage with a trademark free-kick from a difficult angle just after the hour mark.

The Portuguese superstar then completed his brace late in the match with a powerful close-range finish to confirm the title and spark celebrations among supporters who had waited years to see the club crowned champions again.

Founded in 1955, Al Nassr remain one of Saudi Arabia’s most historic football institutions.

The club won its first Saudi league title in 1975 and later established itself as one of the country’s dominant teams during different eras.

Before Ronaldo’s arrival, Al Nassr had already collected multiple Saudi Pro League titles, King’s Cups, Crown Prince Cups and Saudi Super Cups.

Internationally, the club achieved continental success in 1998 by winning both the Asian Cup Winners’ Cup and the Asian Super Cup, helping strengthen its reputation across Asian football.

During much of the 2010s, rivals Al Hilal SFC often overshadowed Al Nassr domestically.

Ronaldo’s arrival transformed not only Al Nassr but also the global image of Saudi football.

Since joining the club after leaving Manchester United, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has delivered goals, leadership and worldwide attention to the Saudi Pro League.

This season, Ronaldo has remained central to Al Nassr’s success, scoring crucial goals and guiding a squad filled with international stars.

His partnership with Mané, Coman and João Félix turned Al Nassr into one of Asia’s most dangerous attacking sides.
