Mbappé reveals unreal moment with Messi and Neymar at PSG

Even in the later stages of his career, Lionel Messi continues to leave a lasting impression on the world’s best players.

Kylian Mbappé has revealed that, despite sharing the pitch with numerous elite stars, no one has ever impressed him quite like his former Paris Saint-Germain teammate.

Now at Real Madrid, Mbappé has played alongside some of the biggest names in modern football.

During his time at Paris Saint-Germain, he featured with top talents such as Ousmane Dembélé and Achraf Hakimi.

In Madrid, he shares the dressing room with stars including Vinícius Júnior, Jude Bellingham, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Yet, according to the French forward, none of them compare to Messi—not even Neymar.

Speaking about the Argentine legend, Mbappé described him simply as “ridiculous,” praising his flawless execution on the pitch.

To illustrate his point, he shared a memorable story from their time together in Paris, highlighting Messi’s extraordinary precision during a routine training session.

Mbappé recalled that he and Neymar were widely regarded as two of the best players in the world at the time.

However, Messi’s arrival brought a new level of excellence. During one particular session, as training was winding down, Messi took ten shots at goal.

While Mbappé and Neymar managed to convert six or seven out of ten attempts—a highly respectable return—Messi reportedly scored nine times out of ten, each goal nearly identical.

What made the moment even more remarkable was the ease with which Messi achieved it.

According to Mbappé, the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner appeared relaxed and slightly fatigued, yet still executed each shot with effortless precision.

Rather than striking the ball with power, Messi seemed to guide it gently into the net, as if simply passing to a teammate.

The consistency and calmness of his finishing left both Mbappé and Neymar astonished, with Mbappé jokingly recalling how he questioned the goalkeeper afterward.

Despite boasting one of the most formidable attacking trios in football history, the combination of Messi, Neymar, and Mbappé achieved mixed success at PSG.

The trio secured multiple domestic trophies, including two Ligue 1 titles, but fell short of delivering the UEFA Champions League trophy the club so desperately sought.

Ironically, PSG would go on to win the competition in the 2024–25 season, shortly after Mbappé’s departure.

Following Messi’s move to Inter Miami CF after the 2022–23 campaign, the chances of the two superstars sharing the same club stage again became unlikely.

However, international football could yet provide another chapter in their rivalry.

With both France national football team and Argentina national football team among the favorites for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a potential showdown between Mbappé and Messi remains possible.
