Kinshasa to host 47th CAF Ordinary General Assembly

The 47th Ordinary General Assembly of the Confederation of African Football [CAF] will be held in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo [DRC], on October 6, the governing body of African football has announced.

This key statutory event will bring together the main leaders of continental football, including the presidents of the 54 member national associations, representatives of the six zonal unions, as well as several high-ranking officials from the African sports world.

Chaired by its president, Dr. Patrice Motsepe, the assembly will provide an opportunity for CAF members to review activity reports, approve the accounts of the past financial year, and decide on strategic directions for the development of football on the continent.

The choice of Kinshasa as the host city reflects recognition of the DRC’s growing role in regional sports dynamics and aligns with CAF’s commitment to enhancing the geographic inclusivity of its major events.
