Fermín extends Barça stay, Milan chase Mateta, Bobb joins Fulham, Lookman close to Fenerbahçe

FC Barcelona have reached an agreement with Fermín López to extend and improve his contract, keeping the midfielder at the club until 30 June 2031.

The deal, which adds two further years to his stay, is set to be signed in the coming days at the offices of club president Joan Laporta, where the player will also address the media.

Born in El Campillo, Huelva, in May 2003, Fermín joined Barcelona in 2016 at just 13 years old and developed through La Masia, embodying the club’s values and playing philosophy.

His journey was not straightforward, but a key loan spell at Linares Deportivo during the 2022/23 season accelerated his development and prepared him for first-team football.

Since returning, Fermín has become an important figure in Barça’s squad thanks to his intensity, pressing ability, and knack for arriving late into the box.

A committed two-way midfielder, he combines attacking threat with defensive discipline and has quickly built a strong connection with the fans.

The extension reflects the club’s confidence in his long-term role and underlines Barcelona’s commitment to building around homegrown talent.

Jean-Philippe Mateta has agreed personal terms with AC Milan, making the Italian club his preferred destination.

According to reports, Milan have advanced talks with Crystal Palace ahead of a potential summer transfer but are pushing to complete the deal sooner if Palace give the green light.

Negotiations between the clubs are ongoing, with Milan keen to strengthen their attacking options.

While no final agreement has yet been reached, discussions remain active as Milan explore the possibility of securing the French striker in the near future.

Fulham have officially announced the signing of Oscar Bobb from Manchester City on a deal running until the summer of 2031, with the winger taking the number 14 shirt.

The 22-year-old arrives as a Premier League champion after emerging from City’s academy system.

Bobb is known for his elegance on the ball, creativity, and ability to cut inside from the right wing.

He can also operate across the front line or as a central playmaker.

Despite injuries disrupting his progress, he made 15 appearances this season under Pep Guardiola before sealing the move.

The Norway international reunites with compatriot Sander Berge at Craven Cottage and will represent Norway at this summer’s World Cup following their historic qualification.

Fenerbahçe are closing in on the signing of Ademola Lookman from Atalanta after fresh talks pushed the deal into its final stages.

The proposed transfer is valued at around €40 million including add-ons, with payment structure and bank guarantees still to be finalized.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund confirmed that Leon Goretzka will leave the club in the summer when his contract expires.

Despite interest from Atlético Madrid in January, the midfielder chose to remain until the end of the season, bringing his eight-year spell at Bayern to a close.
