Djihad Bizimana joins Algerian side CS Constantine
Algerian club, CS Constantine have strengthened their squad with the acquisition of Rwanda national team captain Djihad Bizimana, completing his move from Libyan outfit Al Ahli Tripoli for an undisclosed sum.
The 29-year-old midfielder makes the switch to Algeria shortly after concluding a successful one-year spell in Libya, where he featured alongside fellow Rwandan Thierry Manzi.
During his time in Tripoli, Bizimana played a key role as Al Ahli clinched both the league championship and the Libyan Cup.
Bizimana now embarks on a new challenge in the Algerian top flight with CS Constantine, who currently sit sixth in Ligue 1 on 23 points, trailing leaders MC Alger by 13.
Born in Rubavu, the Amavubi skipper brings vast experience to Constantine, having previously turned out for Rayon Sports and APR FC in Rwanda, as well as Belgian sides Waasland-Beveren and KMSK Deinze.
