Africa Innocent re-elected to lead OLSC-Rwanda for a third term

The Official Liverpool Supporters Club–Rwanda (OLSC-Rwanda) has re-elected Africa Innocent to serve as president for a third consecutive term, reaffirming the trust and continuity that have defined his leadership since he first assumed the role.

Africa was elected during the annual general assembly held at Copenhagen Lounge in Kicukiro District, Kigali City, on November 23, 2025.

This year’s assembly, attended by nearly 150 representatives from more than 2,000 OLSC-Rwanda members in the Country, focused not only on leadership elections but also on reviewing the OLSC-Rwanda’s progress and reviewing strategies to achieve their set objectives.

In this general assembly, Ignatius Kabagambe was voted in as Vice President, Deus Abel Kwizera as Secretary, Safari Butera Fred as Treasurer, and Arnold Ishimwe as Coordinator.

Africa Innocent and Ignatius Kabagambe were elected with 100% of the votes, Deus Abel Kwizera received 96%, Safari Butera Fred got 98%, while Arnold Ishimwe was elected with 99% of the votes.

In this new committee, the newly elected members — Arnold Ishimwe, Ignatius Kabagambe, and Safari Butera Fred — replaced Nkotanyi Canisius and Bimenyimana Jacques Gentil.

After being re-elected, Africa Innocent thanked members for their overwhelming confidence and emphasised collective leadership as a cornerstone of his new mandate.

“I think you didn't elect me to carry these responsibilities alone. We move forward together. Over the next two years, we will amplify our activities and work even harder to advance OLSC-Rwanda.” He added

A defining feature of OLSC-Rwanda’s identity has been its commitment to supporting vulnerable survivors of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, since 2016, the OLSC-Rwanda has organised an annual outreach initiative, which has never been interrupted—not even during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Reflecting on this legacy, Africa Innocent pledged an even greater impact in the year ahead.

“This initiative is deeply meaningful to us. Next year, we intend to donate 12 cows, doubling our contribution from this year’s visit to survivors in Bisesero, Karongi District.” He added

Besides leading OLSC-Rwanda, Africa Innocent also serves as the head of OLSC Africa and the Middle East region.

The re-election of Africa Innocent marks yet another chapter in OLSC-Rwanda’s evolution into one of the most active and community-oriented supporters’ clubs in the region.
