TP Mazembe withdrawal from Congolese Football Federation

The Tout Puissant Mazembe team, known as TP Mazembe, has written to the country's Football Association, ADFCO [the Association of Football Leaders in the Democratic Republic of Congo], to inform it of its withdrawal from the organization.

A copy of the withdrawal letter, written in French obtained by THEUPDATE, reveals that the leadership of this team—owned by businessman Moise Katumbi—is dissatisfied with how the Association is being run, particularly its refusal to restart the championship.

TP Mazembe, hereby informs you of its withdrawal from ADFCO, a structure whose existence remains de facto and whose recent actions compromise the greater interest of Congolese football.

TP Mazembe, faithful to its values, cannot associate itself with an organization that lacks consistency, legitimacy, and transparency. Therefore, we hereby inform you of our immediate withdrawal from ADFCO”. The letter said
