Paris Saint-Germain produced a ruthless attacking display to beat Manchester City 4-2 at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, handing the defending champions an impressive victory in a thrilling UEFA Champions League encounter.

Goals from Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé, Vitinha and Maghnes Akliouche secured the victory for PSG, while Erling Haaland scored twice for Manchester City in a spirited second-half comeback that ultimately fell short.

PSG made a flying start, taking the lead in the 13th minute when Doué finished clinically after receiving a pass from Fabián Ruiz.

The French forward turned provider just two minutes later, setting up Dembélé to double the visitors’ advantage with a close-range header.

Manchester City struggled to contain the visitors’ fluid attacking movements, and PSG extended their lead in the 32nd minute.

Vitinha collected Warren Zaïre-Emery’s pass before curling a superb right-footed effort into the corner to put the French side 3-0 ahead.

City went into half-time facing a daunting deficit, having struggled to create clear-cut opportunities against a well-organised PSG defence.

However, the hosts emerged with renewed determination after the break. Haaland pulled one back in the 53rd minute, heading home Iliman Ndiaye’s cross to give City a lifeline.

The Norwegian striker’s goal sparked a period of sustained pressure, but PSG demonstrated their ability to strike on the counterattack.

Akliouche restored the three-goal advantage in the 62nd minute, cutting inside before unleashing a left-footed effort that goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma could not keep out.

Haaland struck again in the 75th minute, finishing Ayyoub Bouaddi’s pass to make it 4-2 and revive hopes of a remarkable comeback.

City continued to push forward, with Haaland coming close to completing his hat-trick when his effort was saved by Matvei Safonov in the closing stages.

The hosts also struck the crossbar as they searched desperately for another goal.

PSG, however, held firm to secure an impressive away victory. Their evening could have been even more comfortable when Ferran Torres missed a late penalty, with Donnarumma saving the effort in the 90th minute.
