APR FC have continued their ambitious recruitment drive ahead of the 2026-27 season by completing the signing of Malian midfielder Mamadou Traoré from Malian powerhouse Stade Malien.

The military side officially unveiled Traoré after reaching an agreement with Stade Malien, adding one of Mali’s promising midfielders to a squad already strengthened with several new arrivals during the transfer window.

Traoré arrives in Kigali following impressive performances in the Malian Ligue 1, where he earned a reputation for his composure in possession, tactical awareness, defensive discipline and ability to dictate the tempo of matches from midfield.

Equally comfortable operating as a holding midfielder or in a box-to-box role, the 24-year-old is expected to provide APR FC with balance between defence and attack.

His arrival comes at a crucial time following the departure of Rwanda international Bosco Ruboneka, whose exit created a significant gap in APR’s midfield.

Club officials believe Traoré possesses the qualities needed to fill that void, with his ball-winning ability, accurate passing and leadership expected to play a vital role in the team's pursuit of silverware.

APR FC have been among the busiest clubs in the transfer market as they prepare to defend the Rwanda Premier League title and compete in the CAF Champions League.

The club’s recruitment strategy has focused on adding experienced players capable of improving the squad’s depth and raising competition for starting places.

In addition to strengthening midfield, APR FC have also reinforced their goalkeeping department with the signing of Ernan Siluane, one of Mozambique’s most highly regarded young goalkeepers.

Siluane joins APR FC after establishing himself as one of the standout goalkeepers in the Mozambican top flight.

Known for his quick reflexes, commanding presence inside the penalty area and confidence with the ball at his feet, the goalkeeper has attracted attention for his consistent performances at both club level and on the international stage.

The Mozambican shot-stopper is expected to provide strong competition for the number one position while adding valuable experience to APR’s defensive unit.

His ability to organize the backline, make crucial saves in one-on-one situations and launch attacks with accurate distribution makes him an important addition as APR prepare for the demands of both domestic and continental football.

The arrivals of Traoré and Siluane underline APR FC’s ambition to build a squad capable of competing on multiple fronts during the 2026-27 campaign.

APR fans will now eagerly await the debut of both new signings, hoping Traoré can control the midfield and Siluane provide the stability between the posts needed to achieve another successful season.
