Rwanda Premier League champions APR FC have strengthened their squad ahead of the 2026-27 season with the signing of experienced Mozambique international goalkeeper Ernan Siluane from reigning Mozambican champions Black Bulls FC.

The military side officially unveiled the 27-year-old shot-stopper as one of their latest additions, reinforcing a position regarded as crucial as APR prepare to defend their domestic league title and compete in the CAF Champions League.

Siluane arrives in Kigali with an impressive résumé built through consistent performances in Mozambique’s top flight and on the international stage.

Widely regarded as one of the country’s finest goalkeepers, he has established himself as a dependable presence between the posts thanks to his commanding aerial ability, sharp reflexes, excellent shot-stopping and calm distribution under pressure.

Born in Mozambique, Siluane developed through the country’s football system before making his breakthrough in the domestic league.

His performances earned him a move to Black Bulls FC, where he became the club’s first-choice goalkeeper and played an important role in their success in the Moçambola, Mozambique’s premier football league.

During his time with Black Bulls, he helped the club compete for major honours while gaining valuable experience in CAF inter-club competitions.

His club form also secured him a regular place in the Mozambique national team, popularly known as the Mambas.

Siluane has represented his country in several international competitions and World Cup qualifiers, b

ecoming one of the trusted goalkeepers in the national setup.

One of the highlights of his international career came when he was selected in Mozambique’s squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire, the country's first AFCON appearance in over a decade.

He was again included in the Mambas squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, underlining his importance to the national team and his consistency at the highest level of African football.

APR FC believe Siluane’s experience in high-pressure matches will strengthen their goalkeeping department as the club targets continued domestic dominance and a deeper run in continental competitions.

His leadership qualities, communication with defenders and ability to perform in decisive moments are expected to provide added confidence to the back line.

With CAF Champions League football on the horizon, the club has prioritized recruiting players with international pedigree who can adapt quickly to elite competition.
