Police FC part ways with Coach Ben Moussa after one-season
Rwanda Premier League side Police FC have announced the departure of Tunisian head coach Abdessattar Ben Moussa.
The Rwanda National Police based club, confirmed the decision through a statement published on its official X platform this Sunday evening.
The 39-years old, arrived at Police FC in July 2025 on a long-term contract, succeeding Vincent Mashami and tasked with transforming the club into genuine title contenders.
A coach well known in Rwandan football following his successful stint with APR FC, he returned to the country carrying a reputation for discipline, tactical organisation and a winning mentality.
During his tenure, Moussa oversaw Police FC in domestic league and cup competitions, helping the side strengthen its position among Rwanda's leading clubs.
His most notable achievement came in February 2026 when he guided Police FC to the Heroes Cup title after defeating APR FC in the final, securing his first trophy with the club.
Police FC supporters will remember Ben Moussa for instilling a competitive spirit within the squad and maintaining the club's ambition of competing for major honours.
Born in Tunisia, Abdessattar Ben Moussa built his coaching career across North Africa before making a name for himself in East African football.
Prior to joining Police FC, he managed APR FC and famously guided the military side to the Rwanda Premier League title during the 2022-23 season.
He later worked in Tunisia before returning to Rwanda to take charge of Police FC in 2025.
Followed by his departure, Police FC now begin the search for a new head coach ahead of the new season.
