Jean Baptiste Hategekimana, the Dean of the faculty of Journalism and communication studies at ICK indicated how the donation will facilitate journalism students.

“This donation will be of great benefit to our students, as it will enable them to receive a hands-on learning experience,” he said.

“We are grateful for the support of Pax Press and Fojo Media Institute in helping our students prepare for successful careers in journalism field,” he added.

Some journalism students in ICK told ICK News that they are happy with the equipment they have received because it will help them to make good stories and easily.

Joyeuse IRADUKUNDA said: “Sometimes we used to write stories without good photos because we didn’t have a camera, but now our stories will always have good photos because three cameras will help us.”

“It is good that we have been given equipment that includes computers because we will have a place to work quietly than before,” Aline Umutesi added.

Pax Press and Fojo Media Institute are committed to supporting the growth and development of media in Rwanda, and this donation is just one of the ways in which they are working to achieve this goal.
