APR FC started their 2024-25 Rwanda Premier League campaign with a goalless draw against Etincelles FC in an entertaining match played at the Umuganda Stadium.
The 2023-2024 Rwanda Premier League champions started the match strongly, immediately putting pressure on Etincelles FC defense but were left with no luck in front of goal throughout the 90th minute.
APR with a bitter exit from the Caf Champions League could not make their dominance count as Etincelles FC stood their ground and showed spirit and resilience to end the match in a stalemate.
The draw was massive for Etincelles FC which has now picked up four points from five matches in what has been a tough campaign for the club.
As for APR FC, it was their first game of the season due to their CAF Champions League competition which saw them being eliminated by Pyramids FC of Egypt on a 4-2 aggregate in the second preliminary round.
They have one point and remain at the bottom of the sixteen teams log.
