AFCON 2025Q: Spittler announces squad for Benin Games with the 3 newly faces

The Rwandan national football team coach Torsten Spittler has announced a 38-man provisional squad with the Three newly faces for the upcoming 2025 AFCON qualifying double-header against Benin.

Rwanda will play Benin on October 11 in the first leg, while the return leg will be played on October 15, at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.

Coach Spittle who revealed his squad on Friday, September 27, will start preparations ahead of the first leg on Monday, September 30, 2024.

The Amavubi provisional squad comprises five goalkeepers, eleven defenders, seven midfielders and sixteenth forwards.

However, there were two new players Coach Spittle included in his squad for the Benin games.

Right Winger Kury Johan Marvin who plays forYverdon Sport FC in Switzerland, and midfielder Salim Abdallah who plays for Musanze FC.

Full Squad:

Goalkeepers: Clement Buhake, Fiacre Ntwari, Adolphe Hakizimana, Gad Muhawenayo and Patience Niyongira

Defenders: Fitina Omborenga, Jean Gilbert Byiringiro, Claude Niyomugabo, Emmanuel Imanishimwe, Ange Mutsinzi, Thierry Manzi, Clément Niyigena, Aimable Nsabimana, Yunusu Nshimiyimana, Christian Ishimwe and Jean Hirwa.

Midfielders: Djihad Bizimana, Jean Bosco Ruboneka, Siméon Iradukunda, Bonheur Mugisha, Fabio Nkundimana, Steve Rubanguka and Pacifique Ngabonziza

Forwards: Jojea Kwizera, Ramadhan Niyibizi, Olivier Dushimimana. Gilbert Mugisha, Hadji Iraguha, Samuel Guelette, Hakim Hamiss, Innocent Nshuti, Arthur Gitego, Taiba Mbonyumwami, Kevin Muhire, Serge Kabanda, Johan Marvin Kury, Abdallah Salim, Anicet Ishimwe and Abeddy Biramahire.
