AS Kigali defeated Musanze FC 2-1 at Ubworoherane Football Stadium on Saturday to moved third place on the Rwanda Premier League standings.
The match began with both teams finding it difficult to score in the first half after passing up numerous scoring chances.
However, Musanze FC turned the tide when Munyurangabo sent the home team ahead in the 68th minute, giving them hope that they would win.
AS Kigali came back with determination, and scored two goals through Nshimirimana Jospin who was the hero of the day.
Jospin leveled the score in the 71st minute before completing his brace in the 80th minute of the match.
His double give the club all three points and also highlighted their determination to remain in the title hunt, showing their strength and resilience to overcome a losing position and win a well-deserved victory.
In another results, Kiyovu Sports returned to winning ways with a comfortable 3-1 win over Gorilla FC at home.
The recovery was important after the team lost their previous league game to Gasogi United.
