Paris Saint-Germain will continue its tradition of honouring the city’s Chinese community by wearing a special Chinese New Year shirt during the match against Reims on Sunday.
According to Le Parisien, the names of PSG players such as Kylian Mbappé, Neymar, and Messi will be written in Mandarin.
In addition, advertising messages will be directed towards the Chinese New Year.
This move is not new for the PSG, as the club has several Chinese partners such as Mengniu, a dairy brand, and PingAn, an insurance company.
PSG also has an office in Shanghai and conducts many commercial activities in the countr.
The club also revealed its fourth kit in collaboration with Jordan Brand – it was worn during PSG’s match against Al Nassr / Al Hilah All-Stars last thursday in a friendly match in Saudi Arabia which drew much attention to what was the final match between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
