Rayon Sports has moved to second place on the Rwandan Premier League log following a 2-0 win over Bugesera FC on Saturday at the Kigali Pele Stadium.
The hosts proved too strong for Bugesera FC as they dominated the match and grabbed a comfortable home win in the match day 6 of the 2024-2025 Rwanda Premier League, which was enough to earn them all three points.
Goals from Youssou Diagne and Fall Ngagne in each half give Rayon Sports their third league win in five matches.
The win extends Rayon Sports’ lead at the summit to 11 points, while the defeat leaves Bugesera FC in 12th place with three points from five games.
In another game, Musanze FC and Mukura played to a one-all draw at the Ubworoherane Stadium.
Muhire Anicet put Musanze ahead with a brilliant goal in the 62nd minute, but the visitor levelled the score in the 90th minute to end the game in a stalemate.
Musanze FC has 6 points from six games and currently sits in 9 places on the log, while Mukara vs has 8 points from six games and sits in 7th place.
