Rayon Sports FC has maintained their lead atop of the Rwanda Premier League. Despite the 1-1 draw with Amagaju, Rayon Sports continues to lead.
Fall Ngagne gave Rayon Sports the lead in the first half after finding the back of the net in the 31st minute of the game.
Amagaju’s however got the equalizer in the 78th minute, ending the match one apiece at the Huye Stadium.
Rayon Sports, the league leader, was dissatisfied with the results since they were hoping to increase their lead at the top of the Rwanda Premier League by gaining more points.
The club was aiming to increase their lead, thus the draw was a setback. With 41 points from 18 games, Rayon Sports is still leading the league.
In another result, Police FC and Musanze played out to a 3-3 draw. The tough encounter saw Police FC take the league throughout the match.
They dominated the match for most of the time, but Musanze FC’s resilience and ability to fight back ensured they earned a valuable point.
At the Muhazi United defeated Marines 2-0, courtesy of goals from Tresor Shaka and Joseph Sackey which gave the club the win at the Ngoma Stadium.
At the Umuganda Stadium, Etincelles defeated Rutsiro FC 1-0 with Ishimwe Djabilu scoring the only goal of the match.
