Rwandan youngsters arrive in Germany to undergo trial with Bayern Munich

Three young players from Rwanda have arrived in Germany to begin trials with the club academy team.

Namely Nelson Irumva, David Okoce and Barthazar Ndayishimiye left the shores of Rwanda over the weekend for a five-month trial with the six European Cup/Champions League  Champions.

The trio were selected from the Bayern Munich Academy Rwanda Youth Cup tournament which was held on 5th September at the Pele Stadium in Kigali.

Both Irumva and Okoce 16 and Ndayishimiye, 17, put up remarkable performances during the tournament catching the eye of the European team scouts.

The three players will have to impressed during the trials if they are to seal a deal with the club’s youthful side which could give them the chance to further their football development in Europe.

This trial opportunity signifies a significant moment for the Rwandan trio as they prepare for a potential move to Europe.

This initiative is part of Bayern Munich’s ongoing efforts to strengthen their youth ranks with budding talents from diverse footballing landscapes.

Since the inception of the Bayern Munich Academy Rwanda in 2023, the club has been nurturing local football talents for international football standards.
