Bugesera FC Nigerian striker Umar Abba has finished the 2024-25 Rwanda Premier League as the top scorer with 17 goals to his credit.
The striker who has been in real hot form continues to prove his worth in front of goal to win his first golden boot award in the Rwanda Premier League.
Abba scored a hat-trick in matchday 30 of the season to help his side grabbed a convincing 5-0 win over Kiyovu Sports, which brought his season tally to 17 goals.
The Nigerian international was a regular featured in Bugesera squad and played a crucial role in their fourth-place finish, helping the team secure 46 points from 30 League.
The all around striker emerged as the Rwandan league top scorer for the first time ahead of Senegalese striker Fall Ngagne, who finished the season with 13 goals to his credit.
Umar Abba now joins the ranks of Nigerian strikers who have won the Rwanda Premier League top scorer award, following the likes of Ani Elijah and Victor Mbaoma, who both shared the honor in 2023 with 15 goals each.
