Rwanda Premier League: AS Kigali came from behind to edge Muhazi United

AS Kigali FC put up a good fight after coming from behind to win Muhazi United 2-1 in the Rwanda Premier League on Saturday.

The Citizens fell behind to Muhazi United which produced a solid performance in the first half to take an early minute lead through Babuwa’s hader.

Muhazi United started the match brightly with a good composure and defensive tactics but couldnā€™t last throughout the entire 90 minutes.

The host conceded two goals in the second half losing 2-1 to AS Kigali despite their first-half lead at the Ngoma Stadium.

The Citizens turned things around in the second half and secured all three points, courtesy of goals from Ugandan International striker Emmanuel Okwi and Shabban Hussein Tchabalala.

The win was AS Kigali’s third of the season from 5 games I’m the 2024-25 Rwanda Premier League.

The Citizens sit third on the log with 10 points, while Muhazi United sits third to bottom on the Sixteen team log with 3 points from 5 games.
