Mukura 1-0 APR FC: Army’s title chase suffers setback

APR FC title chase in the Rwanda Premier League faces a setback after their 1-0 loss to Mukura on Sunday, on the matchday 18.

APR was hoping to close the gap on Rayon Sports but missed out on three important points, making it harder for them to catch up with the league leaders.

The match day 18 fixture between the both clubs shows how competitive the Rwanda Premier League has become, with Mukura reminding everyone that anything can happen in a match.

As the season progresses, APR will need to recover quickly and do all they can to gather as many points as possible in their remaining games to keep their title dreams alive.

The club currently sits second place with 37 points, four points behind Rayon Sports who are sit atop with 41 points.

The gap between the two clubs is small enough and APR can still make a move if they do their best to avoid any more mistakes in the next games if they want to stay in the title race.
