Richmond Lamptey uges Fans to turn out and support APR FC ahead of Pyramids crash

APR FC Ghanaian midfielder Richmond Lamptey urges supporters to turn out in numbers at the Amahoro Stadium on Saturday to support the club in their CAF Champions League match against Pyramids FC of Egypt.

The Central Midfield, who joined the club on a free transfer after his contract with Kotoko expired, believes that massive support from the home fans will help the club to deliver and win the match.

Lamptey has featured once for APR in the Caf Champions League since joining the club in June of this year’s.

He made his competitive debut against AZAM FC of Tanzania where he clocked 69th minute under his belt for the five-time Rwandan league champions.

The experienced midfielder who represented Ghana at the international level will be hoping for more minutes with his new employer.

The match is the third meeting between both clubs and APR will be hoping to get a win at home against the Egyptian club that eliminated them last season.

APF FC and Pyramids met twice last season, where the Egyptian side progressed through on a 6-1 aggregate in the two legs.

The first leg ended in a goalless draw in Rwanda and the Egyptian side won the second leg 6-1 in Cairo.

“We need your support as fans, so I am urging all supporters to turn out and cheer the club; if you do have a ticket, try and get yours cause it will be crucial in helping us,” Lamptey said.
