League leader Rayon Sports FC has maintained its lead at the top of the Rwanda Premier League following a 2-1 away win over Kiyovu Sports on Saturday.
The club increased their points to 34 atop of the Rwanda Premier League log after their match day 17 victory.
Rayon Sports extended their remarkable winning streak by collecting all three points on the road thanks to goals from Fall Ngagne and Iraguha Hadji.
The win highlights Rayon Sports’ great play from the beginning of the season and solidifies their commanding position in the league.
With 17 games played so far, Rayon Sports leads APR FC by six points.
The team won their match against Kiyovu Sports on Saturday after drawing 2-2 with Musanze FC in their last game.
Rayon Sports has been struggling, going winless in their last three matches overall.
The club will be hoping to get a win match day after match day to maintain their lead and secure the league title.
Elsewhere in the Rwanda Premier League: Muhazi United defeated Vision 3-0 in a one-sided encounter.
The club returned to winning ways and got the job done after suffering a defeat to Mukura in their previous league game.
Fiston Musinmango’s brace coupled with a goal from Kubwinama Credrick gives the club all three points.
Now, Rayon Sports has 40 points, while Kiyovu Sports are the last at the log table with 12 points.
