Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been named the Premier League Manager of the Season for 2022/23.
The Spaniard has now collected the award on four occasions having previously triumphed in 2017/18, 2018/19 and 2020/21.
Guardiola steered Man City to a third successive Premier League title and they stand on the brink of the treble. They take on Manchester United in the FA Cup final this Saturday before facing Inter in the Champions League final next weekend.
Man City spent much of the season trailing Arsenal, with the Gunners spending 248 days top of the table – a Premier League record for a team that did not go on to win the title.
The Citizens spent a lot of the first half of the season tinkering and changing tactics before settling on a 3-2-4-1 system, which was led by record-breaking scorer Erling Haaland.
Guardiola‘s most recent triumph means only one manager has won this award more times than him – Man Utd legend Sir Alex Ferguson with 11.
Only three other managers have claimed the prize on multiple occasions since its inception in 1992 – Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho have both won three times, while Jurgen Klopp has taken it home twice.
