Antony will be hoping to rediscover his goal-scoring touch after completing a loan move to Real Betis from Manchester United on Saturday.
Real Betis have signed Manchester United winger Antony on loan for the remainder of the season, the LaLiga club confirmed on Saturday.
Antony, who joined the Red Devils from Ajax in 2022 in a reported £85.5million deal, has struggled to live up to his hefty price tag, having made a promising start to life at United.
The Brazilian started his Old Trafford career with three goals in three games, becoming the first United player to score in their first three consecutive Premier League encounters.
However, he would fail to continue that run of form, managing just 12 goals and five assists across his 96 appearances in all competitions.
In fact, Antony leaves the Red Devils having picked up more yellow cards (14) than goals, but will be hoping to impress in LaLiga under former City boss, Manuel Pellegrini.
Antony’s arrival is Betis’ first piece of business during the January transfer window, while his departure from Old Trafford could be the first of many this month.
Alejandro Garnacho has been linked with a move to Chelsea and Napoli, while Marcus Rashford also appears to be moving on after expressing his desire for a new challenge.
