As Rwanda celebrates its 29th Liberation Anniversary, THEUPDATE has prepared a photos story of some of the highlights of Rwanda’s four-year Liberation struggle.

Bugesera was one of the worst hit regions during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Majority of the survivors were rescued by RPA soldiers from marshlands.
