Kayibanda scores consolation in Luton Town’s 4-1 defeat to Burnley

Rwandan youngster Claude Kayibanda scored a consolation goal for Luton Town Under 21 in their 4-1 defeat to Burnley Under-21 in their first game of the season.

The versatile defender started and lasted the entire duration of the match in the Premier League Cup at Kenilworth Road.

Kayibanda scored a brilliant goal in the 90+4 minute but it only served as a consolation goal for Luton Town who struggled during the match which saw them conceding four goals in both halves.

The goal was the 18-year old first of the season for Luton Town Under-21 since signing his professional contract at the club.

Kayibanda was born in England to Rwandan parents and is yet to be capped by Rwanda or England at any youth level.
