Adel Amrouche, Amavubi coach, made his voice heard in his immense frustration and humiliation after his side lost 2-0 against Nigeria on Friday.
He highlighted two main points of frustration. ‘the loss came at home ground in Kigali and also in the face of Rwandan President Paul Kagame, who graced the event’.
Amrouche conceded Nigeria’s victory but remained adamant that his team had presented it to them on a silver platter.
Although he noted that Nigeria did not appear as strong as they have in the past two years, he still praised their efforts.
The coach refused to alter the attitude and mindset of his players and was optimistic that it would get better with time.
Despite his disappointment about the defeat at home to Nigeria , Amrouche vowed to make some adjustments and enhance his team’s performance ahead of their next game against Lesotho.
