Rwandan Premier League side APR FC has penned down Ugandan midfielder Ronald Ssekiganda from Uganda-based club SC Villa.
There have been reports that negotiations have gone through phases, with the 22-year-old midfielder signing a two-year contract with APR in June.
Ssekiganda’s signing will be an enormous boost to APR’s midfield as the club continues to reinforce ahead of the new season.
SC Villa captain was with Uganda Cranes when they played Mozambique in a World Cup qualifier match in which Uganda had lost 3-1, though he was brought on in the second half as a substitute.
It was proof that he could do it and at a top level, something every footballer dreams of achieving once availed the opportunity to play for his country.
Famous for his excellent performance in the Uganda Premier League, Ssekiganda has acquired the “Tall N’Golo Kante” nickname for his style of play, with the same spin as the legend French player.
