Rwanda U20 team has departed for Tanzania to participate in the CECAFA U20 tournament which kicked off on October 6 2024 in Dar es Salaam.
Coach Eric Nshimiyimana named a strong 19-man squad that will represent the Amavubi junior team in the CECAFA U20 Cup.
Rwanda U20 played three friendlies as part of their preparations for the CECAFA U20 Cup. In those matches, they drew one, won one and lost one.
Rwanda is in Group A of the CECAFA U20 Cup with hosts Tanzania, Kenya, Sudan, and Djibouti.
The Amavubi junior team will open their campaign off the CECAFA on October 8th against Sudan, and will later face Kenya on October 10th and host Tanzania on October 13th and Djibouti on October 15th.
The tournament will feature nine countries and will kick off next month in Tanzania in Dar es Salaam, from October 6 to October 20.
