The Rwanda Football National Team Under-20, this Sunday held their second training session in Tanzania as they continue preparations for the CECAFA U20 Cup.
Coach Eric Nshimiyimana and his technical staff have been working hard to put together a decent squad that will represent Rwanda at the tournament.
Rwanda’s Under-20 team played three matches in Kigali before leaving for Tanzania. In those matches, they drew one, won one and lost one.
The Amavubi junior team will play their first game of the CECAFA Cup on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, against Sudan.
They will later face Kenya on October 10th and host Tanzania on October 13th and Djibouti on October 15th.
The tournament featured nine countries and started on Sunday, October 6, 2024. Host Tanzania suffered a 2-1 defeat to Kenya Under-20 in Dar es Salaam in the first match of the competition.
