Following Amavubi U20’s poor run of form in the CECAFA U20 Cup in Tanzania, the team has returned home.
The team, including players, technical staff, and management members, arrived in Kigali on Wednesday.

Amavubi’s U20 campaign ended in disappointment as they failed to win a single game in the group.

Tigers Under-20s suffered a 3-0 defeat to host Tanzania Under-20 in their third group game on Sunday which saw them being bowed out.

Coach Eric Nshimiyimana’s sides finished fourth in the standings with one point after three matches.

Rwanda U-20 lost to Sudan in their first game, drew with Kenya U-20 0-0 in their second and lost to Tanzania in their third CECAFA U-20 Championship.

The team’s exit from the CECAFA U-20 Cup would be a great experience for their future growth and development.
