Amavubi U-20 was held to a goalless draw by Kenya Under-20 in their second Group A game of the ongoing CECAFA Under-20 Championships played on Thursday at the KMC Arena in Dar es Salaam.

Coach Eric Nshimiyimana’s side continued to struggle in the CECAFA U20 Cup as their search for their first win remains a difficult task for them after losing 1-0 to Sundan Under-20 on Tuesday at the Azam stadium.

Rwanda U-20 was looking to secure all three points in a bid to boost their group’s dream hope, but in a highly competitive game, the two sides failed to find the back of the net after the 90th minute.

Amavubi junior team has a task in their hands against host Tanzania on Sunday, Oct 13, 2024, as coach Nshimiyimana believes his side can do the needful by winning the match.

Rwanda currently sits fourth in Group A with one point from two games, while Kenya sits third place with four points from two games.
