The president of Rayon Sports FC, Jean Fidele Uwayezu, has resigned from his position due to health issues, the club announced.
Uwayezu took office as club president in October 2020 and was set to end his four-year term in October of this year.
However, it was announced on Friday, September 13, 2024, that Uwayezu had stepped down from his position just a week ahead of the club’s executive committee elections, which are slated for next month.
According to sources Fidele Uwayezu has travelled abroad to seek treatment.
